In 2013-2014, the number of ROSA commercial solutions will be increased
by new products and by certified versions of existing operating systems.
A new concept of ROSA product line development was presented by Julia Nikitina-Atilla, company Chief Sales Officer, at the “PingWin Fest 2012” conference.
In 2013, a special edition of ROSA Enterprise Linux Server (RELS) will be certified by the Russian Certify agency (FSTEK). The free RELS Helium edition will get two series of updates. In 2014, the Helium platform will be replaced with a new one called Neon.
The ROSA product line of desktop operating systems will be explicitly divided into home and enterprise versions. The product names will be changed, as well. Enterprise version with Long-Term Support (Marathon) will be named ROSA Desktop Enterprise, while the version for home users and enthusiasts will get the ROSA Desktop Fresh name. New Fresh versions will be release once a year. The enterprise line will be updated once a year, as well. Special editions of ROSA Desktop Enterprise will be subjected to certification by the Russian Certify agency (FSTEK), Ministry of Defence and Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) .
Subscription to version updates, technical support and add-ons extending system functionality will be provided on a commercial basis. Critical security updates and updates for the core system components will be provided free of charge.
In the year 2013, the product line will be extended with new products as well as with solutions that were announced earlier (such as ROSA Cloud Platform).
